Hey, how picky should we the people be with scales. Each person's official (2) tomato's? Meaning tomatoes weighed on an official scale vs some home scale? I would prefer a cert. scale. Thoughts?

i would think that the weights for this competition should be official gpc. I allow home weights for winter..but their is no prize fund involved. This one should require certified weights.

My home scale is certified Garden Rebel...but to get official GPC results, I still have to take it to where I can get impartial witnesses. My favorite place is to take it to one of the local grow stores. The employees really appreciate giant vegetables as compared to the local supermarket.

I manage a grocery store and I would welcome anyone to come in and weight a huge tomato. Don't see why any grocery would ever refuse, unless they got attitude problems.
