I will be taking over watching this year's indoor winter tomato grow...
in hopes of drawing more interest, I will be offering a $50 cash prize and handmade plaque to this winters winner (I will remove myself from being eligible to receive this prize.
You can start your seeds whenever, but - the cut-off date for the competition is the first day of spring, March 20th, 2019. The tomato must be grown completely indoors.
Email me if there's any questions or objections to this years ideas, and please rememberto post to your diaries
The goals of the winter tomato competition should be: experiment with whatever may give you an edge, think big and most importantly, have fun!

Thanks Hayden for taking this on. I had already committed to providing the ribbons for this years competition.

I will email you the link where I have gotten them from in the past two years. My daughter thinks red and green is ugly. You can choose a new style this year if you desire.
I wish I had more time for this winter's grow. In the past, I have enjoyed the winter grow more than the summer. Doing a bit a cleanup today...how did i accumulate 12 hydro pumps and 9 air pumps? My aeroponic is going to have to wait for a year but, watch out in 2019.
If you are on the fence about starting a tomato plant this winter...and have a grow light, there is nothing better to make the winter go by faster.
Tomatoes are hard indoors...but every year, we solve more of the problems.

Yeah I rushed this post while at work, corrections were expected to be made lol. I like the ribbons combined with cash prize? Unless there's any objection to that
