Yes, a great story and detail. Anyone know what the little black clips were used for on the stem of his big tomato?

Looks like he used a bunch of clips to act as a bend limiter so the stem was sturdier.

Agree - I really enjoyed seeing these diary entries. 600 to 1,000 plants per year - Wow! That's a full time job right there!

I thought the 5.05 fulk was a megamarv according to the 2014 gpc tomato list ? I think mehdi said it was a Delicious veriety ? A delicious x megamarv sounds like a great cross but is that what he made to get the 3.52 ?

I think both tomatoes were Megamarv - and may have been selected as ‘delicious’ rather than Delicious the variety.
