So, I put the app on my iphone, took a picture and tried to post it and could not. I never have had a diary before so I thought I would try. After a lot of looking around I think my iphone takes pictures with too many pixels. It exceeds the limit set by BP. I think this is my problem but I am not so sure. I have an iphone xs. Any help appreciated.

I never used the app before but if i had a week WiFi conection sometimes i would have a problem uploading a picture post. I see that you have a few picture posts in your diary now so have you solved the problem ??? If not im sure more people using the app will chime in.

It is working now. I wish I knew what I did to get it going. Does it post the picture if you click on "save." One picture is very dark. The original was not. The dark one was posted from my computer and the lighter one from my phone. It took a very long time for them to appear in my diary after I posted them. The one from my phone took nearly a day.

Marv, I am really liking your diary posting. You have been so quiet there for so long. I really like the picture of the old shed...even better is the old vehicle in the picture. Gives me a peaceful feeling..until I start to think about the potential buzzing insects. Keep making diary posts. I will enjoy reading them.

Lol marv you are a newbie acording to Ken. You have to upgrade to a premium membership to get instant diary posts. Right now your posts have to be seen by ken before he releases them that is why their is a long delay

For me on my phone when I post to my diary I Look up the website and then click on grower diaries in the column in the upper left. Then in the upper right it will say submit to your own diary I click on that. That’s I where you can add pictures by clicking choose file. I remember getting the same error you said you had where it says the photo has to many pixels I believe when I went to click on “submit to your own diary” I accidentally clicked on “submit to your own diary (old)” which is right below it

You can still do picture posts but you will just have to be patient.it may take anywhere from an hour to 1 day to get up, but Its usually is up within 2 hours.

You will get the hang of it Marv. Once you get the Premium membership the photos will appear instantly. Your phone should be ok. The above info is correct. Hit grower diaries on the app, hit the + sign to add a new entry, when done composing your message, hit the camera in bottom left to select your photo and once you are happy with it, hit save and it is in there. Also remember that once its entered you can review and hit the "edit" button to change something in case you called Chop a bad name or submitted a nude photo of the lady across the street that you didn't intend to post. Hope you have a safe trip back to PA. Didn't you defend your Boche Ball, Bingo and shuffleboard championships down there.

Okay. I have been trying to post on the grower diary but nothing seems to get on. I have emailed Ken but gotten no response. I know he is busy but really? I cannot purchase a Premium Membership as it is impossible at present to do so. I understand it has been down for months. I realize I should have gotten a membership long ago. The question I am now struggling with is whether I should simply give up on the grower diary thing? I had never done it in the past. It appears to be the most active or at least a very active part Of Big Pumpkins. There must be others like me? Is every one posting there a premium member?

I take a photo with my phone. I connect my phone to my desktop so I can crop and clear up any issues, then save to a file like “2020 garden”. I’d rather work with a desktop rather than a tiny phone. In the past if the photo had too many megabytes it wouldn’t load to BP. Pictures on newer phones usually have higher megabytes. So thats why I crop it down to size. It may take a day to load to BP.
