On a cliff in the desert

All my other seeds are germinating fine. This is the only kind that I have not gotten at least one seed to germinate. Are other people experiencing the same thing?

I did but it took a couple of weeks, and it was on a temp regulated grow mat , 9.65 came up a few days later.. my long gourds came up faster ..lol

I’m 3/3 for Big Wixoms. 83/95 total plants. 100F heat and only damp soil. Even with seeds I have a couple of 100w LED lights right on top of them. They leap right out of the soil. I was good with germinations except for half of my 5.71 Lambchop’s and all 5 of the 5.04 Clayton Domingo.

I used to, but not in last couple of years. This is after having worse germination rates due to rot. Those baby’s need to breath. I stay on the drier side now. But, you have to stay on top of it with making sure the soil doesn’t dry out too. Will lights, heat, and it being uncovered, it can happen fast. I end up putting a dash of warm water on each start every 2 days.

Wixom MI.

I had no luck using a heat mat with tomato seeds. I use a florescent lamp witch gives a little heat from above and i also use seran wrap over the pots for about 3 to 4 days then i air them out after that. I do ok but apparently Domingo can be tougher than other verieties to germinate.
