Gordon Graham grew a single bloom Delicious to 7.75 in 1986.
One of the most beautiful tomato I have ever seen. Meisner's book page #3.
Is this the biggest single bloom tomato ever reported?
Are you aware of any bigger one?
IYO which tomato variety has the potential to produce a single bloom over 8Lbs? Thanks,

Probably not. IMHO there should be two classes single and multiple blooms.

From what I know, the 7.75 photo in the book was a reproduction and not the real one.

Mehdi - On page #2 Mr.Graham's Tomato is sitting on a scale and it looks like a real tomato. On Page #3, is a reproduction provided to him by the company Miracle Grow.

tomato. I heard that the picture with him was just a model of a tomato not the real tomato itself ?

The only picture I ever see of this tomato is on a scale that I can't see, and the tomato in the picture looks smaller than 8 lb tomatoes that I see grown today. I know we had this discussion about 5 years ago and I think that it was only an advertisement picture not the real tomato ? But I don't know the answer ?

You guys were correct. The tomato on the scale is a replica of the 1986 WR. Any pics of the original tomato out there?

This is per Marv Meisner, "The 3D replica was nothing like the real tomato grown by Gordon Graham, not even close. Some artist just made a tomato that was the dimensions of the original but round. The actual tomato was a conglomeration of 5 tomatoes grown into one, a big megablossom for sure. Even the color of the replica was not right. The real tomato was a dark red. The weight of the replica was pretty close. I had the replica for awhile but sent it to Gordon's wife as it seemed appropriate to do so. Miracle Grow had sent it to me. Later they wanted it back but I no longer had it."

Hi Perriman, that is excellent information. It is really strange that there are no pictures of the 1986 WR. I found a picture in an old newspaper where Gordon is holding his WR tomato. It still looks like a replica. While I understand that in 1986 there were not cell phone to take free pictures it is really unfortunate that nobody took a good picture of the real tomato.
