Last year I grew Big Zac for the first time. I had one > 3 pounds and never had a megabloom develop on any of 3 plants.
I went back and watched the Chris Brown videos again. Fingers crossed.
I saw a post from 2022 of a > 7# single bloom, so until I get some megablooms I still have a long way to go.
Will the same techniques apply to single blooms and megablooms?

I would say yes to the same techniques apply to the single and mega's. There is nothing wrong with a big single and really you don't have a lot of the fusing drama etc. that can go along with the megas. Of course the big Mega is what we are all hoping for. If you only have 3 plants growing you have to go with what you are given and make the best out of it. It depends what your goals are. I like to see if I can get a new PB every year. Some growers only like the first truss megas. Dan S. will evnen pull his plants down if he doesnt get one there and in the compost they go. That Porkchop guy likes to be patient and hopes for a "chest" high mega to form. One of my biggest was a 5.5 single and I am no expert, but it was all I had on that plant that year. I would say maybe get yourself some domingos to increase your odds for megas. Good luck and enjoy your grow.

Ned,I pull my plants if I don't have a WR potential on the first truss,I ALWAYS have a mega on first truss but if it's not something that looks like it'll go 13 lbs or more it's headed for the compost bin. There's nothing wrong with growing a single if that's what your happy with,I pull plants so I can utilize the space for something else.

Dan. I have a few packets of your seeds for this year's efforts.
Several family members in TN will be planting them too.
