You guys are too cool!Thank you very much.Gotta start early to stay ahead of those boys south of me...I'm sure they are catching up quickly.Good luck to all growing these giant cantaloupes this season and I hope one of us breaks that record.

Hey Wayne.Cantaloupes take about 45 days or so to show flowers.The flowering plant is at least 45 days old I would say.The other plant is not quite that old, but is much more robust.I think I saw 6 or 7 male flowers on the first plant today.

Yes ,it has heat....I try to keep it around 75 degrees and it also has snowed on the greenhouses 3 times with the plants inside.24 hours of supplemental light also.
