Vic, thinkin you told me that you put a bunch in each starting spot. Why? Loosen soil, or to lower Ph (sorta thinkin that peat has low pH)? Lopes do better w/ lower pH? Peace, Wayne

Peat moss should not change the PH of your garden.

Organic compounds such as sphagnum peat moss, compost, and manure can be used to lower soil pH. Table 5 provides the approximate application rate used to lower soil pH by one unit.
