Lucky, you's folks are to be even thinkin about germinating lope seeds...approx 12 inches of rain in April, means no lope sprouts for at least a couple weeks...ankle deep in mud if I get within 10 feet of lope patch!!! Grow em BIG!!!! Peace, Wayne PS...thanks tho...was wondering about germ temps for lope seeds!!!! Peace, Wayne

Nope you don't want to soak them -- I soaked them last year and got 2 out of 8 germinated before they rotted away ! -- just a moist starting mix and a nice high temp around 90F and this year germination went much better (5 for 6). Also be careful if assisting them to shed the casing after they pop up as they break off at the stem very easily ! (Have 3 of the 5 left after getting careless this year)
