how many cantalopes can you grow on one plant before it afects the growth of the main one you want for size.i got one thats getting pretty big but i want a few for eating also.

Keep the vine healthy and growing. When the fruit you have set is about 30 days old I'd say you're save to let the plant do its thing. The best I remember the fruit will grow 35-40 days.

I've grown multiple 35+ pounders on a vine at the same time but I can't say for certain what one might have been.

125 square ft+ no problem growing at least 2. I had one in the 30's when a nice one set. I decided to let it grow. I seen no effect on weight gain in my measurements on the first one. Both ended up 40+.

i found all plants that way when you start a second it has no effect on 1st one,when you cut off the 2nd there is no gain either
