Last year someone asked the question ; "are the giant type of cantaloupe good to eat?" . Just a follow up to that for anyone who might still wonder; I froze about 30 pounds of melon in chunks last year and finally started dipping into it for making smoothies a few weeks ago. Everyone in the house says they are delicious.
Today we did cantaloupe and plain yoghurt 50/50 and a few tablespoons of good blackberry jam to a blender full.
Last week, Yoghurt,Coconut milk, banana, lots of cantaloupe.

I will remember that for this season. It does sound good to grow ONE and have enough melon for the offseason thanks to a freezer. :)

I hope it works out for you both. I also froze about 4 gallons of watermelon juice, but not from giants. It tasted as good 4 months later as the day we picked it.
