A friend of mine at work has one that he is ready to pick but unsure. He asked me, But I have never grown a cantelope. I told him I would ask you guys on here ? How can he tell if it is ready ? Thanks .

When. They start turning yellow get them off the vine i let them set for a few days then they are ready to eat they are very good if left on the vine too long something will get it hope this helps
