Thanks Westam I hope it holds up in this Texas heat. Currently everyday is around 100 and lows only in the mid 70's. Surprisingly my Ag's are still doing well but im afraid the heat will get to them soon.

That's a bummer about the mouse nothing worse then when you lose a good one to something like that.

Here is a recent picture and I'm wondering how much longer it will grow before she ripens? http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=227061

More webbing will appear and it will start turning yellow. Keep it covered, it will age slower. Watch it very close once it starts turning yellow. It can be fine one day and rotten the next.

keep dipel on it to keep the grubs away. I had a monster go down this week to a grub. It was the only chance I had this season at a record fruit. The rain washed the dipel off and it chewed a small hole in it. If a cantaloupe gets an injury it can't heal like other fruit. After a few days it turned to mush.

Thanks Holloway! So sorry to hear about the grub and I will do that for sure as we have many grubs here.
