Hello.. I was wondering on how long is the vine of the giant cantaloupe when it's producing fruit to harvest.. does it vary??

Been several years since I grew so I'm going from memory. 3-4 feet BUT they don't typically set on the mains. They will set at the first and second leaf on a side vine. First fruit is nearly always larger than the second.

Dave is correct, I've grown them on the main and side vines with little visible difference.
