Ok, here you go. There have been lots of posts about tall corn and sunflowers over the years on my site. I will try and move most of them into this new board.

Thank you Ken!! Since I requested this forum I'll start off by offering some sunflower seeds from my 17'+ plant at no charge while they last. Let see if someone here can break a record.

Great to see there are other sunflower and corn growers out there. I want to promote both plants and who knows maybe one of us will break a record. Response emails going out tonight.

Grower Steve I would love to take you up on your generous offer. My daughter and I have been having some fun growing sunflowers for the local fair and would have a great time growing some potential monsters.

Kudo's to Ken D., once again!!! When I first saw Steve's request for a new forum for corn & sunflower's ... I was a bit skeptical (sp?), but now after seein this list, I guess Steve was correct!!! LOL Sorta sweet to see tho, as these two seem to be what I grow best!!! Peace, Wayne PS...I do have a few tawl corn seeds left from the 17'8" I grew in 2009, but first will be distributed at the KGPG Growers Seminar in Richmond, KY. on 2/12/11...after that, if any are left??? I will post!!! Peace, Wayne

I've done some experimenting with gibberellic acid. I did a lot of reading about how it will lengthen the internodes and make plants grow a lot taller. I've had mixed results. I've tried spraying some plants and not others to compare but my plants are close together and there's usually enough wind to have the spray drift onto the other plants. Anyone have any tips or suggestions for using GA?
