I dug a small trench and filled with about 200 sunflowers a week and a half ago along my fence line surrounding my patch, all my tall corn has sprouted but only a handful of sunflowers have broke ground, is this normal to take this long? Also is ok to water tall sunflowers and corn on the same schedule as my Pumpkin plants?

Birds (and maybe some other creatures) love sunflower seeds. They will eat them before they emerge. Try digging up a few and see if only the shell is left.

Last year I had rabbits chewing on my sun flower seedlings.
