Do any of you cut of the extra stalks that grow at the Main Stalks Base? Was wondering if this will give thee original (Main) Corn stalk some more juice!! Thanks

Some growers extend the earth upwards so that the roots will grow down into the soil. You can do this by cutting a container, placing it around the lower stem and filling it with soil.

I put dirt up a little bit on the bottom to cover roots but for some time you want those bottom roots to harden in the air abit for strength via USDA AG Dept. Thanks for the Info, I'll cut those extra ones back right now. Thanks again for the Input ya'll!!
