How long does it take to germinate. Have some in a wet paper towel on a heat mat for over a week now, and nothing yet.

That seems too long for nothing to be happening. I did the same scenario (wet paper towel in a ziplock, on a heat mat) germination test of my tall corn seeds from last year. Most seeds had a radicle poking out after 4 - 5 days.

I give a a few more days and see got another set of seeds to try and get a sprout. Would love to try and grow one of these.

Bob, and Dan...have read several times that corn does not transplant well...any truth to that? From sprouts to garden? Peace, Wayne

Well, looked today and I have 2 that are sprouting roots. Things are looking up😁

Its hard to grow corn inside. You need to get fans on it as soon as it gets up.

have grown tall corn for a few year now....i always put the seed right in the ground.....corn does not do well transplanting....it goes into shock....and sits there.....then the sun burns em up as they are not acclimated from day one
