Congratulations Mitlem and Sam on a new NZ record. Checking on the internet 690kg almost double previous record of 364kg. Awesome effort, is it also a Southern hemisphere record??. Go the mighty Chiefs!!!!

Hi WaikatoChiefs, Thanks but my 690.5kg pumpkin is shy of the current NZ record, Its at 721kgs which the Barton family grew in Whangarei a few years ago.

Hi and Well done WaikatoChiefs, incredible growing so far south!!. Did you have a controlled environtment or loads of shelter down there? Absolute crap year for growing here in Tassie! Massive winds here and really late Summer what there was of it.. Lol.. I hope you don't mind me asking what seed did you grow your pumpkin from?
