One of my 162s has outgrown all others, covering about 800sq ft, came up on april 1; has finally set 4 pumpkins with the largest stems I have ever seen, over 5" thick on a pumpkin the size of a football.
My 89.5 has ripened a beautifully round pumpkin, just turned orange this week, no idea what it weighs but it is larger than any field pumpkin I have ever grown and just lovely!
My 103 MacKinnon just ripend a beautifully slightly oval pumpkin,18x17x14. no idea what it weighs. once it turned orange, all of the secondaries stopped dropping the females before pollination, might try to set a whole bunch of little pumpkins just for seed variety.
118 Engel has grown the largest, oddest leaf I have ever seen, HUGE vines and leaves with small weak secondaries; have not gotten any to set yet.seem to be a nice round shape, too.

I have (4) 145 Crews, and (4) 57 Shymanski (162Jxself)plants growing. They all have vines about 4 feet long now. The 145's have much larger leaves and thicker vines. Everything seems healthy and happy so far. It has been extremely hot and dry here. I have to water pretty much every day. I think the straw mulch I put around the plants has really helped hold in the moisture and cool off the plants.

My 57 Shymanski is getting big..I have pulled a few females off until the plant gets about 200sqf. The 118 Engel and other 57 Shymanski's and Van Hook seeds I planted on Memorial Day are just starting to vine. Seeing some Squash Bugs, and Squash Vine Borers.

Josh,

It's (1807.5 x 1647 Wallace). The 101 didn't have a lot of seeds but I gave out a few. A couple Wisconsin guys planted it and Gary Adams from NY has one. I planted one but I pulled all my AG's a couple days ago because the wind and heat ravaged them. Now I will have more time for the field pumpkins and other giant veggies. They are more fun anyway :)

Joe, I am really curious to see the fruit shape on the 57's. It was really long and grew very fast. And 57 pounds is not too bad for being grown in a 15 gallon pot during the winter. lol Good luck with them. I plan on crossing my 57's with the 145 Crews. The 145 I grew in the greenhouse also grew really fast and was very fat. Fat x long might be good. We shall see.
