Been growing field kins for years and just started last year with some bigger ones. Hit 75 lbs with no effort and multiple kins growing in that area. Got one pushing 100 lbs and I see a touch of orange. Wondering when the top weight hits. Guessing full orange but would like feed back on when to cut from vine or leave on vine until weighoff.

I think we would have to grow one on a scale to determine this. I still see them growing when they are solid orange.

I planted my FP's way too early and they have been orange for a month now (close to 60 DAP). I am trying to leave on the vine until Sept 1, and I will say they are getting gnarlier each day. Size isn't changing much, but hoping getting thicker inside.

From my own experiences my Fps start ramping up between days 15-20 and can continue to around day 35 perhaps a bit longer if weather is good and the fruit you have does not ripen too quickly. Once I see orange specs starting on the blossom or stem areas growth rates will drop significantly as they are maturing. When mine are fully orange getting any measurable OTT growth with a tape in quite minimal.

Good point John, I think my growth stopped around DAP 25-30 on most due to being further south in warmer climate.

Thank you for the responses. Pulled OTT 4 days after seeing orange and growth has basically stopped. Will leave on the vine and guessing it will continue to put weight on inside. Cool climate here in the Adirondacks comparable to northern Vermont. Shannon is probably right with the scale..probably only way of telling. Thanks again. T
