A clarification is in order according to recent questions I have fielded.

The Fairfield CT Weigh-Off at Penfield Beach is open to ALL States.

"In State" entries are open only to CT residents.

Both In & Out of State entries are welcome in the "All State" category. This is where the glory is since the most competitive entries will want to compete at the highest level.

Both categories will be awarded the same prize structure:
1st Prize - $1000, 2nd Prize - $750, 3rd Prize - $500.

A new CT State record (Pumpkin currently 851.8 lbs) will also receive a $100 bonus on top of the $1000 prize.


The GPC Site Champion (In or All State whichever is heavier) will also receive an additional $150 from the GPC.

Any CT resident may only enter one pumpkin catergory not two, they may however enter one pumpkin and one squash. Any out of state fruits may likewise enter a squash in addition to a pumpkin if they choose to do so. Thanks David Garrell Vice President CT GS&PGA
