The North Shore News Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off is sceduled this year for Saturday October 29th at Maplewood Farm.

1st prize - $200.00 courtesy of Grant and Jasmine Botto - Prudential Real Estate
2nd prize - $150.00 courtesty of Pemberton Station Pub
3rd prize - $50.00 courtesy of Pemberton Station Pub
4th prize - $50.00 gift certificate to Gardenworks
5th prize - Kelpman kelp concentrate

There will be additional prizes of fertilizers and compost but sponsors have not yet told me the amounts.

Special prize of a $50.00 gift certificate to the Pemberton Station Pub for the largest North Shore grown entry.

Wouldn't mind the kelp concentrate! I plan on being there! With a 600+ pumpkin, just so you know!

Glad to hear you will be there Cameron. One pumpkin per entrant eligible for prizes but bring as many as you want that you would like weighed. Should be alot in the 400-600 lb. range.

The Kelpman will be there so if you win top prize you can negotiate for as much kelp concentrate as you like....Jim (from Kelpman) is a great guy!!
