What type of field pumpkin is Jeff Danielson growing (Gold Rush, Howden Biggie, CT Field, Jumpin' Jack)?

Howden Biggie. Jeff can't get an Atlantic Giant to grow but he grows one heck of a Jack-O-Lantern. Last year he had one that was 87.5 pounds. He is not sure whether these were off of new store bought seeds or from his seeds from last year. He said he hadn't traced the vine back.

Wow, I'm impressed. If you have any digital photos of his field pumpkins please email them to me.

Very Nice Results, Idaho!!

We, in Montana, had our weigh off yesterday too (I'll post results soon) and were thrilled to have some new neighborly growers come over from Bonner's Ferry, ID. They did very well and raised the bar for all Montanans!

We welcome all neighbors to come join us anytime. The weather was a real test of our mettle with constant rain and 43 degrees - Brrrrrrr.

Anyway - I just want to pass on an Atta-boy to y'all.

I've been in touch with Rick and three of the pumpkins that he brought to your weighoff will end up in Idaho's top ten. I don't think there any more "big one's" out there so I've updated Idaho's top ten list. www.brianchristensenmd.com/Top_Ten.html?1127692989546

Thanks Ron!

Now, if I can just add 100 pounds each year... I should be
able to make 1000 before I die. ;-)

FYI: I made final notes and updates on my page.

I should have got more pictures. Anyway, I think we now have
a base go grow from. Several new growers were there,
showing a lot of interest. I think next year we're going to
be better than ever! -Cliff
