see and i have the pics in my diary i posted today so if any of the pumpkins look familier let me know as sis took the pics and we forgot in all the excitement to record the owners congrats to george J for beating his personal best and to all the growers there the weigh of was so much fun and im glad we went but next yr look out because just when you least expect it here will come curvy1 and her sister lol im very deterimined to beat my personal best

We had a great time! Nice to meet some really great people and see all those giants. I enjoyed talking with Gene Mc mullen and Joe Richards and really liked the turn-out! I also was impressed with the number of orange pumpkins this year! There were more orange than white. I was surprised! It was good to meet you George! Congratulations to everyone!

had a great time meeting some new growers and proud of the Illinois growers how well we improved from last year, I think we are finaly figuiring how to grow these things, should only get better next year. also would like to Say THANKS to the Barenie Family for the use of they lifting ring, it saved a lot of backs and made the weighing of the pumpkins a lot easier.

great weigh off, such a good time, and great pumpkins from everyone. a perfect day. congrats to all and hope we all kick it up a notch again next year and many years to come. i was damn proud of everyone's efforts and was happy to see the great turnout. gene...it was my pleasure to witness the excitement in your eyes and that power pumping fist and holler when it went over 1000. it is a moment i will never forget. it still gives me chills. i hope to join you and joe in that 1000 club some day and it was damn exciting to see. i would like to thank the didier's for hosting such a fine event. george j., my hat goes off to you for the fine job organizing the event. greg sliwka---the m.c. work was fantastic. thanks again to the barenie's with the lifting ring help...it worked fantastic. gene, joe, george, greg, and charlie....i will be aiming to knock one of you off the top five next year. lol. great job guys.
