As many of you already know the VWO for this year was not maintained as well as the previous year. My health problems are probably more to blame than anything else but I am recovering nicely so I expect much better participation next year. Even with only 30 some entrants we did see the first VWO pumpkin go over 1000 pounds which is very impressive. I believe that says alot about the seed selecting ability of the members of BP.com and I appreciate all who participated in that.

There were not nearly as many prizes this year either but I know there are at least a couple of seeds that would be considered "proven".

I will post results once I get through all the diaries and send prizes out shortly thereafter. Thanks go out to those who donated prizes and those who donated the seeds that were grown. Along those same lines the remaining seeds from the contest were put in the mail to their owners (Papez, Beachy, Tanner, Garrell) yesterday so you should have them back in time to fill all those requests you are probably already getting.
