To clarify, and for the record -

Rick Maggi entered his huge Idaho pumpkins in the Exhibition Class so as not to wipe out the Montanans in the Competition Class. He was being a good sport and honorable guest - even though I encouraged him to compete.

All his pumpkins were very sound, sturdy, perfect specimens!
He deserves a hardy CONGRATULATIONS!!!
We look forward to his participation again next year.

I talked to Rick on email. It came from the 1084.5 Langevin, but the pollinator was unknown. He also had one small picture, egg-shaped with a light orange color.

If you're not familiar with the geography, I'm about as close to Sacramento, CA as I am to Bonner's Ferry. Its way up in the panhandle close to the Canadian border.
