Has anyone ever had a "cull" weighoff? My wife puts on a weekly farmer's marker/street fair and their last market will be the evening of August 31, 2007. I'm thinking about putting on a weighoff at this last market where growers could bring their culls. I'm thinking about allowing damaged pumpkins as well. Her board just wants to have an "attraction" for the 8,000 or so people that will be there to enjoy. Has anyone ever done anything like this? What kind of prize money/prizes would it take to make it successful? I was also thinking about incorporating a patch tour along with it to give growers another reason to attend. The location would be Santa Rosa, CA.
