German - 6 October 2002 in Ludwigsburg the winner is invited to the European Weigh-off in Zurich on 13 October 2002. Last years German winner was also a German record of 224 kg or 492.8 pounds. The attached link will take you to the web page with a form to fill out and fax in to enter.

Oh, that sounds like a lot of travelling for the pumpkins. Glad to have my old VW bus waiting outside, it carries 1 ton! And our crane is also still there. Need to tell my pumpkin that 35' circ. is too small, or I´ll take the bike...well it makes 1' a day and is surely missing the sun...

1500 for germany.....a lot more if you win in zurich....i went for it and ordered some fish/seaweed fertilizer from the states. costs an arm and a leg, but it keeps me off the streets. LOL...owen

if i understand the ranglist that is on the website, than the prizemoney in Swizerland is even 10.000,- CHF wich is today 6.887 € .... and another 10.000,- CHF are shared between the lower rancks!!! he, i hope to see you there!
(even as it sees, that i does not in danger of borowing a crane from floh... my "Thin Berta" is today 30" OTT on day 6 LOL)
