For those who were wondering, yes there will be a great weighoff in Canby on the 5th. Registration starts at 9:00 am and the weighing begins at 11:00. I don't really need to hype it up too much, for those who have been there, you know how much fun it is, and well, how big the pumpkins are, and for those who haven't, you are in for a treat. The Hoffmans are putting up another 10,000 in prize money and everyone will walk home with something to remember the occasion by. It doesn't matter how big your fruit is, bring it on in and lets have some fun. Since we were voted out of the GPC as a club and the Hoffmans as a site, there are no time restraints, so be ready for a full day of pumpkins on the scales, time to swap secrets and seeds, enjoy the great chili cookoff and enjoy the family oriented event. Also look at the smashed car from a 700+ pound pumpkin dropped from 120 feet (should be interesting). There will be prize money down to 30th place in pumpkins, good cash awards in the squash class, tomato class, field pumpkin class, watermelon class, prizes for random weights, best new grower, childrens class, and many more.
This is an independant site, so everyone is invited and need not belong to any club to be a part of the site which holds the current world record for squash and pumpkins.
