First place at the Big-E this year went to Rick Skrzypczak of Barre MA, his pumpkin weighed in at 1284# and set a new record for that weigh-off. Second went to Joe Goetze of Pittsfield MA with 992#. Third was Arthur Kaczenski II from Erving MA with 957#, fourth Daniel Boyce of VT with a 941# pumpkin and fifth to Joe Jutras of North Scituate RI with an 872# fruit. There were a total of fourteen pumpkin entries. Ken Magdycz of Plainfield MA took first with a 641# squash.
