The South Dakota Weigh-Off will be held Sat Oct 4th at the Apple Orchard located 5 Miles South of Sioux Falls on Hwy 15 from Noon to 2:oo P.M.

Where can I find the rules for weighing my pumpkin at this event? Do I need to bring it on a pallet or is there a preferred method? Also, I think my pumpkin is only about 250 pounds, but, I really want to know an official weight, it's my first year so I don't quite know where to start. Thanks in advance for all your help!

You can put it on a pallet if you like but no need to just bring it in any way you can and we'll get it weighed

Thanks! That's great to know! I will see you there on Saturday and hopefully there will be some big pumpkins. I hope mine isn't the smallest, but, even if it is I will still have a good time. Thanks for the information!

Just got back from the weigh off and my pumpkin was 333lbs. I used the OTT method and got 337 from that so I can honestly say the tables were right on the money. It sure was neat to see all the big pumpkins. Thanks to all of you for your help this year! It was my first year, but, I am now addicted to this hobby and hopefully with some hard work and a whole lot of luck, I can get a bigger one next year!

Kevin, if you read this, it was nice to meet you at the weigh-off. I was amazed by yours and Gregs pumpkins, it really is amazing to see just how big a pumpkin can get around hear! Kevin, it was also nice chatting with your son, he sure knows a bunch about growing those monsters!!!

Also, will you guys be having a spring meeting next year? If so, I would like to attend if possible.
