The GPC ranks all Dill's Atlantic Giant Cucurbita maxima including all green Squash. We've also been dolling out squash plaques & assisting with the green jacket (at the Niagara Seminar) under the auspices of the squash growers who finance the green jacket on their own.

Many growers probably don't realize that all DAG's are squash anyway. We simply prefer to call the orange ones pumpkins.

However, to answer your squash question read below...

"Pumpkins of all colors are eligible for prize money, and ties will be broken based on appearance. If, however, the entry is deemed to be 100% gray/green in color, the entry will be titled as a squash, but will still be eligible for prize money and a ribbon as stated above, since the placing is based on weight."
