We had two pumpkin classes and awarded prizes according to that, but awarded GPC ribbons in overall standing. The weather cooperated being nicely sunny and not too cold.
Unfortunately we did NOT have any squash entries. A total of seven pumpkins, five adult and two junior.
434.5 Debra Rebel, OK (went very light-concaved seriously) 403.5 Diana Sigel, KS (went close to tape) 341.0 Janie Smith, OK 286.5 MaKenzie Schwindt, OK (Jr,last year's overall winner) 279.5 Eric Sigil, KS 271.0 Chad Hughes, OK 241.0 Xander Sanchez, OK (Jr)
Howard Dill Award, Diana Sigel, KS (audience vote)
Eric received 4th place adult, 5th place overall. MaKenzie received 1st place junior, 4th overall. There was some confusion about this.
Congratulations to all participants and winners! [Oh. Yes. I get custody of the F*U*G*L*Y travelling trophy this year] ~Deb Rebel Aka OkieGal

Diana had me sweating, the KS Challenge was big and gorgeous. We are very glad she and her husband Eric made the trip, and at this moment hope they're getting close to home, safely.
There were also some personal bests, Janie Smith, MaKenzie Schwindt, Chad Hughes, and first time grower Xander Sanchez. I am not sure if Eric Sigel (misspell above, sorry) has a larger one already.
The target's tattooed on my rear from many directions now... thanks.

Sorry to throw cold water on your "record" but Pat is the one that did it at an official weigh off. What you did just created a lot of controversy. As far as I am concerned Pat holds the record.

I am glad it is over, and every one had a great time. Congrats to all our winners indeed, there was a lot of hard work on display. Congrats again to Diana for taking the Howard Dill, it was an audience vote.
At the 5 State Cimarron I entered an unweighed fruit which is the rules. The 1026 Young x 1100 Hester is now the 434.5 Rebel 09.

Good point Kelly....yes Pat's record still stands as the other one in the backyard weighoff was UOW due to a sling....and other issues.
