Where do the Weigh off's on the West Coast take place?

Is there a entry fee?

Do you have to Pre-enter or can you enter on the weigh off date?

Do you have to join a group or can you be an independent?

Where is a weigh off closest to Southern California?

Thanks Water = John

The two I know of are Half Moon Bay (SF Bay area), and Elk Grove (just south of Sacramento). HMB in particular draws growers from the pacific Northwest, in part because of the large purse. I think they pay $5/pound to the winner.

I haven't heard of any weigh-offs in Southern CA.

Water ( John),
To find out more information about the Elk Grove weigh-off you might try emailing Zack Jones at CALPumpkins@aol.com.
he could fill ya in on that weigh-off and all the details.
And here is the web site to Half Moon Bay weigh off. It's a place to get started. I know you need to pre-register for that one and at this web site is a phone number to call for entry form http://www.miramarevents.com/weighoff/facts.html

Also you can come to Canby, Oregon weigh off. It is held the same day as Elk Grove. (First Saturday in October) At Canby you need to join the PNWGPG group and you can do that the in the morning before weigh off time.
Good Luck,

Where are there weigh-offs for the central states? I'm from Nebraska and have'nt even found any listings for a state record.
My plant currently has small yellow spots on the leaves that develope into small holes. Not insect, not water spots(Drip irrigation at base and leaf nodes and no rain for weeks) I'd have to suspect fungi but the humidity is very low for us. Any ideas????
