Major kudos to the Roba family for the fantastic weighoff that they hosted today! The site was terrific, family friendly, well organized, and top notch with hospitality. We will be looking forward to next year....that's for sure.

I have to agree! What a great time! The set up is really nice, a covered stage for the fruit with plenty of seating, I've never seen so much parking available! All sorts of booths with various types of food and drink at a reasonable cost and decent food at that! Tons of attractions for the kids and adults (including a bounce mat, a very large bounce house type matt, it had to be 40 ft x 20 ft, pig races - yep I said pig races, huge corn maze, a lake, trails, pumpkin patches, hay rides, and on and on!) I was there for 5 hrs and didn’t get to take it all in. Everyone was extremely nice, the place was very clean, loading and unloading was fast as was the rotation of fruit being weighed! A real nice weigh off in a real nice area with a real nice prize structure! The average top ten was over 1100 lbs too, so there were a lot of nice fruit!
I highly recommend it!

thats the perfect compliment to a giant pumpkin competition.
another reason why the topsfield fair weigh-off has always been such a huge success.
idealy every weigh-off should piggy back onto a fixed event.
it just makes good sence to go where there is already food, attractions and a crowd already in place.

I think this is the first weighoff I've been to in about 4 years- I just needed a fix. It was great to see old freinds and new friends and this may sound funny but I forgot how big these things get after working on my little family pkns and squash in backyard !. Anyway- Roba Farms was probably the first giant pumpkin weighoff that I could bring my family and feel comfortable knowing they werent bored, werent antsy, or doing me a favor by being there. The corn maze kept them busy for 2 hours..appledonuts.. .goats, rabbits, horse rides...cheeseburger-two sides(potatoes au gratin, mac'n cheese, and a 16oz pepsi plate for 5 bucks....pkns and fall decorations for great prices....awesome. Great time Robas-thanks

No doubt, a first class weigh-off.The Roba family are great people, with a great facility, hopefully they will host this event for many years to come! I suspect there will be some rather large A.G.s coming out of the Roba patch next year. Thanks John,Sue,Jeff, and rest.

It was an awesome weigh-off at Roba's. They did a very nice job and so many pumpkins for hosting the first time. It was great to see everyone! John Roba was talking about a regatta on the pond, so that is a possibility for next year. We will be looking forward to next year!!

I wish I could've made it, next year I guess. Congrats to everyone envolved, that is a nice top 10 for a first year site!

Congrats to John Rauch for taking home the big check and setting a new PB, by a wide margin, along the way!

Congrats to Alex McCracken and Jim Gerhardt, both set new PBs with their first official fruits over 1000 lbs!

Congrats to Andy Box, his big one may have got away(check the DMGs at Roba) but he still put up a new PB as well!

Congrats to Jim Gerhardt, again, this time for taking the squash title and growing it on his own seed.

I'm sure I'm missing something. LOL Way to go everyone!
