georgie boy has bragging rights for the year....lol....i picked the wrong pumpkin. one weighed light and two weighed heavy. i picked the light one. doh!!!!!!!! and to make matters worse, my mom came out to the event bright and early after church during the set up process and sized up my pumpkins. she told me she thought i was picking the wrong one to enter as official. i told her i think they will end up weighing about the same since the 1209 was a heavy pumpkin and it should follow suit but i have to go with the one estimated 120 pounds heavier. she was right and i was wrong and everyone in the crowd got to hear my story over the microphone about how i should have listened to my mother. mom is always right. lol. and when it was over i went up to my proud parents and said, "dad, i should have listened to mom" to which he said sarcastically like a good Shenoha would, "Why start now?" lololololololol. it was a great day and one of the most fun times i have had with our crooked crew of growers and friends. and Ken and Don are officially part of our crooked as it was awesome watching Don win first place and get his new personal best. the Godfather was due and we were proud to see him hold the IGPGA belt up high and was a good enough sport to wear the pumpkin cape in the pics too. more on that story too. lol. awesome day and thanks to all who came out and made it a huge success!!!!!!!!!!!!
