Sparta, NC

I would like to attend a weigh-off this year and would like to know how many are close to North Carolina. The ones I have found are the Allardt Tn, Va. State Fair and Circleville Oh ones. Any ideas on ones other than these.

South Hill, Virginia

Used to be one in Mooresville NC I think but I don't have details. The NC State Fair in Raleigh has a weighoff of sorts. I think you just drop off your pumpkin and they weigh it at some point and put it on display with the other crops. I don't think they weigh them live like other weighoffs.

Hey Pappy...Mike told me the GA thing was cancelled due to lack of participation :0(

My understanding is the Mooresville weigh-off has been nevermore for a couple years.

I live 10 miles from the NC/TN state line, work in NC, was raised in NC...and they won't let me enter the NC State Fair contest because I live in TN. Just my opinion but that's stupid...seems to me the more competition the better for everyone.

I'll be doing VA State Fair 9-27, and Allardt 10-4...IF Allardt will be official and they'll report the results. I heard they wouldn't report weights in past years? Anyone know anything about that?

Hmmm,,,no weigh off huh..So I guess the 615 record will stand forever then! According to a certain person who frequents this site,,a pumpkin MUST be weighed at a weigh off to be a state record!! So I guess since no weigh off in Ga.,,Mikes record will stand forever..

I think Virginia Beach has one on Nov.1. at the Pungo festival. never been there but seen something on line about the event.if i find out anything more on it will post .Ed
