It was truly one of the most exciting weigh-offs I've seen for a while and I thought Darryl would do it this year. it was just a short couple of years ago that Darryl had vowed to never grow again if he didn't break 1000 pounds and danged if he didn't come in at 1001.

So Darryl grows again and comes in at 1244, but Dr. Bob wins again. This time around, Darryl is last in line because his pumpkin looked bigger than Dr. Bobs. Alas, as Dr. Bob's weighs heavy. Many of us local growers have finished second to the Doc, but he is the one who keeps us coming back every year.

Congrats to everyone who even had a pumpkin to weigh and our sights are on you Doc!
