Greetings everyone! The SOGPG weigh-off will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 in Hamilton, Ohio during the Operation Pumpkin festival October 4th through 6th. Our website is currently being updated to reflect changes in weigh-off rules and pre-registration prior to October 1st is encouraged, as there will be an additional $10.00 registration fee the day of the weigh-off if not. Registration will be from 2-4 P.M.

The total purse is not what we had initially anticipated, but Operation Pumpkin had to square a debt with the City of Hamilton and our purse is dependent upon corporate donations to Operation Pumpkin. We anticipate that next year's purse will be even more generous barring any unforeseen circumstances. However, I think you will find it to be considerable, especially in the giant watermelon category.

The SOGPG will keep all fruit for display throughout Operation Pumpkin and will recover seeds for those who cannot remain. Seeds will be dried and sent to their respective growers minus 25% up to a maximum of 100. See our website Mark.
