I was just wondering if everyone thought the lack of GPC affiliation would hurt the Allardt weigh-off this year. My daughter is growing melons for a FFA project and she has a few currently in the 150 lb range. We are hoping to meet lot of other growers at the festival so we can put faces with the names on the forum.

I hate that they dropped the GPC, I had planned to bring my biggest there, maybe a WR, but without the gpc, I can't :(
I love Allardt, it was the only GPC in Tn too. Oh well.

Why did they drop the GPC and is there still a weigh-off? I doubt ill have anything but I've heard Alldart was a good one.

They have had a weighoff there for like 20 years. Why they droped the GPC i don't know, probally didn't want to pay the 300 fee. I wasn't able to help raise money for them this year.
The setup there was great, one of my favorite places to go, so i really hate them droping The GPC. But yes the weighoff is still on.
