Congratulations to everyone!

A special shout out to my young friend ROSALYN TOBECK!
Fantastic job, Rosalyn, on 1st place & state record with your 57 lb cabbage, and 1st place on an amazing 1203 lb giant pumpkin!

This young girl has been working hard the past few years, and has risen to the top.

Way to go Rosalyn!!

There is a few corrections needed
1) Brians Kin is 1314.5 not 1315
2)Jef Treece set the Wa St Fair record for field kins.
We had not had one to date but it will be noted as such until it is broken. Nice job jef. and all

Actually, Jeff Treece is from West Linn, Oregon if I'm not mistaken...so I get to keep that record. :)

Thanks Glenna, I will pass that along to Rosalyn. Third time was a charm for her giant pumpkin. Year one: mom dropped it before the fair. Year two: sterile plant. Her biggest thrill was recapturing the cabbage record, however. I am one proud mom! She built her own 20x25 foot hoop house, hand digging 6 post holes and pounding 12 sections of rebar. She ( begrudgingly) pruned and burried all of her vines. Fortunately, it was a good seed and easy plant. It was a good test of her character after her first two seasons, and ultimately a good learning experience in how hard work pays off

Re-read your comment Ron and finally get it. Yes, Jeff DID set the FP record for the weigh-off/fair. I thought you meant state record.

Cindy, the most important thing Rosalyn did was the seed choice. She's got a good eye! :)
