The weigh off prize money is listed. Registration fee will be $25 which includes one official entry and one exhibition pumpkin to be weighed and a free family of 4 pass into the farm. If a grower brings more than 2 pumpkins there will be a $20 charge per pumpkin for each pumpkin they want to weigh besides the 2 included with the $25 registration fee.. No exceptions.
Registration between 8-10. Call me at 815 483 5552 if troubles on the way and i will register you and cover incase of emergency. We can work with you but please try to register on time.

That being said, we hope to see you all at the weigh off and wish you best of luck in home stretch and loading.

Definately a family orientated farm. My favorites are the pig races and the petting zoo. I have no idea why I get a thrill out of scratching the heads and butts of miniature cows and horses or a billgoat or llama....but it makes me smile every time....lol

Registraition 8-10 then weigh-off at noon. Looks like $25 to enter and you can take your kin home at end of day.

Only the winning pumpkin is kept by Bengtsons to display all October. Seeds are harvested by me November 1st and dried and sent to grower . Any sign of pumpkin going down and seeds immediately harvested.

That sounds good Shazzy,I could live with that.I dont like the idea where several kins are kept and the seed harvesters are not one of us.I wonder if they might get the seeds mixed up and send you the wrong ones.lol I will weigh Dolly & Tiny this week on the vine.Then decide where Im headed with them.Maybe 1 to you,the other to Hamilton.Not sure yet!!

We welcome everyone. We call it the Monsters of the Midway hoping to get as many as we can to have fun and compete in the midwest. Hope to see you guys there... we definately have fun....and I personally am gonna ride on a camel for shits n giggles...real camels rides for adult or child.. pumpkin cannon launching on the half hour...pig races...kiddie train and tea cup rides. Giant fun slide. Petting zoo with mini steers and cows and llamas and goats...everyone who registers gets a free family pass of 4 into farm.

Lol...when I am riding the camel ...you can follow behind....when I rub its ear and scratch a bit....look out.. I am loosening her up...get the bucket ready...lol

No matter what my pumpkins weigh. ..I love the petting zoo and whole farm so much and will not leave the farm until I pet some mini steer and mini horses head....the llamas freak me out but fun to feed carrots to.. .and the goats and pigs always love a good butt scratch...pig races are fun...pumpkin cannon with high compressed air launcher is cool...they will let you fire one a quarter mile if we synchtonize it right after the weigh off. Every entry gets a family of 4 free pass. If you bring more than 4 from a long distance I will make sure you get a second family pass if needed.
