iowa fruits and vegetable association, is taking over corporate sponsership, purse will remain same and will remain a gpc weighoff

still working on the date looks like aug 8 or 9

2000 miles trip one way .you have to be half crazy to try that drive, we have had new york and ohio entrys come on down over a million visitors at the fair

I just checked the state fair website. They show the big pumpkin contest scheduled for Friday August 8 and the other jumbo vegetable contest Tuesday August 12.
