1st place: $4,000.00. If a new site record exceeding 1590 lbs. is weighed, a $1,000.00 bonus will apply. If a new world record is weighed, an additional $500.00 bonus will apply.

A clarification in the giant watermelon category: Any grower who exceeds the current world record will receive the $250.00 bonus. Any OHIO grower who exceeds 270.5 lbs. will receive an additional $50.00 bonus. Of course, if you're from Ohio and you exceed the world record, you will receive both. The last line in this post is in error. It's a copy and paste mistake.
