Unloading begins at 8:00 AM and runs until 11AM. Weighoff Begins at 1:00 PM, Pumpkins can be loaded at 5:00 after prizes. There will be a pumpkin Regatta at 4:00. Kids games, rides, food and beer available all day with Dow Jones and then Sam LLanas of the Bodeans playing later. There is a $20 Registration fee which allows you to weigh up to two giant pumpkins as well as any of the other categories.

If anyone has a pumpkin they want to sell for the Regatta, please let me know. Something in that 500-750 pound range is usually ideal. We can collect the seeds that day if you would like them. steil@meltel.net 320-293-3287

Yes, there are plagues and Ribbons. You should be able to preregister online for the event if you would like.

Not sure yet Roundhead. I took measurements on Monday and will measure again Thursday. If they are still growing they won't make the long drive.

Couple other items, I still need one more pumpkin for the Regatta and kids under 18 who want to weigh a pumpkin can do so for free. Please pre-register online for the categories you intend to bring fruit. This will help a lot in the morning when you arrive.

Thanks to everyone who brought fruit to the weighoff and an even bigger thanks to all the growers that stepped up to help. It was no easy task moving all those Giants. With the great turnout I have a good feeling we will be doing this again next year so put Sept 26th on your calendar.
