I talked to my boss, Rene yesterday, he said that he's interested in holding a weigh-off at the garden center. I haven't spoken to him about the details because he is looking for christmas trees this week. Chances are it would be the second weekend of October. We have a festival every October featuring a 2,000 square foot haunted straw maze and Pumpkinville, where we have all the pumpkins and gourds for sale, and next year possibly a few exhibits of giant pumpkins and how to grow them, surrounding a 300 square foot pumpkin mountain. Next year will be the 10th annual festival, and will feature a giant vegetable competition. I'll post more definite information when i can. If you want to participate in the weigh-off e-mail me so i can get an estimate of how many people will be competing.

Sounds good but I reckon ya'll gonna need to come to the real Hillbillyville to know how to do it "Southern" style :0)

Where might this weigh-off be? I might me interested in attending. Hey I might be able to hook your boss up with some christmas trees. I know most of the growers in my area, but there isn't much left to choose from. My best friend has a few left but they may be gone in a few days.
