Congratulations to Alan Reynolds on his new personal best and PERHAPS a new CT state record (all the weigh-offs have not been held yet).

Nice job Alan! I hope the 851.8 holds up as a state record for you!

We're chilling on more details until the Fair is officially under way so as not to steal their thunder.

Dick,

It was nice meeting you last night. You're a real gentleman & I hope we do gather more often. Even if we do have to hand out with Alan. LOL

You & Ronnie did a nice job with that 125 sq ft plant & it's 919 lb progeny. What a story.

I hope you both slept in this morning. I did! LOL

The plant that produced the 919 was only 125sq. ft.??? That would be amazing!

Pap (Dick) will probably comment himself, but this was the plant that he & Ron lost the basal crown. The fruit was fed mostly from a short section of main & secondaries *FORWARD* of the fruit.

This gives some more credence to Joe Ailts' theories of back feeding the sink regardless of vine position doesn't it?

It really does give new hope for the "space challenged" as well.
