Please take a look at the photo I posted. Chris Brown has contacted me and the top 3 seeds (from an auction this year) are genuine. The bottom 2 seeds appear to be fakes. Unfortunately, I have had these a couple of years and didn’t record where they came from. If you have some similar packs and can identify the source, please let either me or Chris know.

I have similar seeds to the bottom ones. Same packaging. I believed I received these from a BP auction. Which one I do not know. It was in a previous year. Multiple packs from multiple sources ??? Maybe the top is not real.

Just my unassociated input that the seeds are the first things out of any crossing that are the results of exhibiting being a little/lot different even within the same fruit, whether pumpkin or BG or otherwise. Also, seeds sent out at different times throughout their dispersal to growers and clubs may result in the best ones going first (like to an auction) and the smaller, misshapen and cracked ones going to growers whom will do fine regardless of condition, or simply...like to me, lol. Example: When a grower announces that he or she only has the 'white-tipped' ones left upon being nearly out of them. Just my nickel's worth - eg

Looking closer at the pictures from your diary and my diary. I think both of yours might be original. You have to consider, these are 5 year old seeds. Storage conditions could have been different. That pale center with the dark tip is evident in both. The horns? in the your top two right is a bit different but If you look at my next diary entry- http://www.bigpumpkins.com/Diary/DiaryViewOne.asp?eid=337120 It seems that bushel gourds can exhibit much differences from plant to plant. Much more than seed to seed from the same BG.
